Last month I shared with you my 2013 resolutions. Well, I’m not sure if I mentioned that my husband and I did this together. We set some individual goals and some joint/family goals and in an effort to keep these goals in the forefront of our minds, I created a Resolution Board for our home. Now we have a constant reminder and accountability system to help us reach our goals this year!
To make this board, I bought a thin sheet of plywood-like material from Lowe’s and painted it with black chalkboard paint. Then I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the board title, “Lets do this 2013” and I used a chalk paint pen and chalk to write each goal. I want to share something. with you that makes my heart happy. Pancakes. And not just any pancakes. I have been blessed to marry into a family with stellar pancake making skills. My father-in-law has a pancake recipe passed down over several generations that is better than any pancake you have ever experienced. No one ever believes me. But then he comes to visit and makes several large batches for all my friends and turns everyone into believers. These pancakes are so delicious that they do not require syrup or butter or anything to sweeten them. They are by far my favorite breakfast treat. I can’t wait for Ryan to learn his papa’s tricks for our kids one day. Until then you should come over some time for pancakes when my in-laws are around.
Pancake tip: fold the ingredients together gently, do not wisk or blend
